Preparations for the construction of a new nuclear energy unit have started Preparativos para a construção de uma nova unidade de energia nuclear já começaram, Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant. O projeto vai custar U$ 5,5 bilhões, a Arménia e a Rússia possuem 50% das ações cada uma.
Preparations for the construction of a new nuclear energy unit have started next to Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant. The project will cost $5.5 billion, Armenia and Russia will own 50% of the shares each. International experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other organizations will be on a visit to Armenia on August 2-6 to study the platform of the Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant, Chairman of the State Nuclear Safety Regulatory Committee Ashot Martirosyan told a press conference today. “The construction works will get more active when the Minster of Economy and Natural Resources presents an Armenian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on the construction of the new energy unit. The issue was on government agenda today,” he said. According Ashot Martirosyan to The new energy unit will increase the level of energy security with minimum expenses.
